This 3-day course combines ALL of the content of ICISF’s Assisting Individuals in Crisis & Group Crisis Intervention courses. Only those attending all hours of class will be issued certificates. Designed to present the core elements of a comprehensive, systematic and multi-component crisis intervention curriculum, this course will prepare participants to understand a wide range of crisis intervention services for both the individual and for groups. Fundamentals of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) will be outlined and participants will leave with the knowledge and tools to provide several crisis interventions for individuals and groups. Program Highlights: Psychological crisis and psychological crisis intervention; Resistance, resiliency, recovery continuum; Critical Incident Stress Management; Basic crisis communication techniques; Common psychological and behavioral crisis reactions; SAFER-Revised model; Suicide intervention; Large and Small Group crisis interventions; Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD).

Instructor Information: Chaplain Jim Crowley is recently retired Executive Chaplain for Central Oregon Public Safety Chaplaincy (COPC) having served them full time since the Fall of 2003. He has been a chaplain for over 30 years. He has earned the International Conference of Police Chaplaincy (ICPC) Diplomat Chaplain Credential. He has earned the Master of Ministry Degree from Northwest Nazarene University. He is an Approved Instructor with the International Critical Incident and Stress Foundation (ICISF) and the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC). Chaplain Crowley is a member of the Central Oregon Critical Incident Stress Management (COCISM) team. He has served on the Oregon State Police (OSP) Critical Incident and Response Team (CIRT) and the Oregon State Fire Marshalls Chaplain Response Team (OCRT).
